Scooter Crashes While Bennett "Black-Baby" Bashes !
Will the "scooter" crash and burn or will he get another term ?

I don't even need to comment on the William Bennett story , it's out there and it's ugly !
I was lucky enough to get in to the Sigor Ros show the other night , thanks to the Sangsters' , I didn't even have to pay , although ... It did come with a price !
Just when I was feeling like a "big shot" for knowing the right people ....And just as we were being ushered in through a private entrance ... I was hit with a big slice of "Humble Pie From The Sky" !! That's right ! Pigeon Shit on the head , the back , the neck !! It was ugly ! I want to publicly thank Kurt Bloch for doing his best to clean me up with paper bags from a trash can , Kurt , you're a true friend !
Jim Sangster also rushed to my aid with a friend named 'Jack Daniels' who helped to restore my mood and ego quite nicely (although he did not do much for "the smell")
Inside the theater , Sigor Ros was so amazing that I almost forgot that I was covered in bird dung ! It was a truly-beautiful performance , I especially liked the song about fast cars and loose chicks !!
To my fellow "Seattle-ites" , be sure to check out 'Sgt.Major' this Saturday at the Sunset , they'll be sharing the stage with Rusty Willoughby who is sure to "wow" even the most jaded music fans !
On Tuesday Oct.4 , Dungen from Sweden will be performing at Neumos . If you haven't had the chance to hear these "Swedes" yet , you should do your ears a favor and check them out . I really can't think of a band from the last few years who has captured such classic and psychedelic sounds so well . The guitars and melodies are very reminiscent of early Pink Floyd and of early Pretty Things . I can't wait to see how they pull it off live .
Anie and I went to see 'Corpse Bride' yesterday , I laughed , I cried ! It was great ! Does Tim Burton ever sleep ? My god , that man has to be one of the most creative and prolific people on this planet !

Howling Wolf 'Sings The Blues'(Ace) It just doesn't get better than the "wolf man".
Flop '& The Fall Of The Mopsqueezer!' ( As long as we're on the subject of Kurt Block and Rusty Willoughby , I thought I'd pull out this "pop-gem" for a listen . I really think this is the most over looked release of the 90's , it came out right after 'Nevermind' and is ever bit as good ! It really should have been a "unit-shifter" ! Pure pop genius !
Isolee 'Wearmonster' Still listening to this "electro-pop-ear-candy" , it's truly contagious !

Are you sure that wasn't a DOVE dropping doo-doo on you (such alliteration!)? The connection between Burton and this whole incident leads me to believe you are the victim of a much larger plot.

Social Darwinism is recently sooooo unpopular. Well, if we logically follow Bill's hypothesis, I wonder which soci-economic group would be elevated as the next root of all Evil? Or would that be down-trodden..?

He could have said that if we could abort Poverty then we could reduce crime but he didn't say that so I have to assume that he thinks we should reduce something else !
I was only giving the fruitloop the benefit of my doubt.
I think he made the comment based on the presumption (arguably supported by facts/figures) that controlling a segment of the population where crime rates are highest would reduce crime... fair enough, but another group would come to the forefront to be the sacrificial lamb. It is simply the way of the world, discrimination leads to oppression through overt and subtle measures, and those at the bottom of the metaphoric food chain will be the ones mostly involved in crime AND the most easily persecuted. By system design, they are continually tempted simply because they are continually hindered - in other words, the held back will operate to gain the means to an end through the most efficient methods. The semantics on this are endless, but why not go for it if you truly feel you have no other way out, or for ecomonic success (not to mention the concomitant accolades that go with being a big roller?)?
Better pass the Jack bud, this can o worms is going to take a long time to sort out.
Bill is a moron who showed his colors in the statement made. Social Darwinism would hold that it's truly survival of the fitest, and would not see color or creed as a defining factor/hindrance. Bill simply stated a long held, white upper class belief, which has helped that group maintain the status quo on making the playing field so uneven.
ENTER Social Darwinism: if you understand the chips are stacked against you, what is the best course of action? To have someone cry 'foul,' or go out and make your own plays and beat the system? Seems to me, bitching doesn't put food on the table.
